This would have been up a lot sooner, but I’m unable to get internet from the room, so it had to wait until this morning.

Yesterday we left the hotel, and headed for Nashville. Once here, we went to the Nashville Rescue Mission. They gave us a tour, and told us what they do. They rehabilitate men, while teaching the word of God. The men can go through and get their GED, learn how to use computers to make a resume, and they all have a place to stay. The Nashville Rescue Mission has a soup kitchen, and a lot of places for men to stay. It is a huge place , and they will fill every bed, every night. That was surprising.

After we had the tour, we went to the basement to help out in the warehouse. Some of us organized all of the donations that they receive, while others gathered clothes for the men who graduate from their program.

The fifteen of us powered through the tasks they gave us, and so they kept giving us more to do. It was awesome that we were able to do so much for them. 🙂

Today we go back to the mission, take a tour of the women’s facility, and go to the library. I can’t wait to help out again.

What a great experience you are all having, and its wonderful that you are able to help so many less fortunate people. We are proud of all of you, give yourselves a great big pat on the back for all that you have accomplished this week. Enjoy your last day in Nashville and the bus ride home. See you all in Oshkosh when you return. Bring that warm weather back with you, so it will melt all of the snow we got this week. Britney your little brother can’t wait to tell you about the roller coasters he was on this week. We miss and love you lots.

    Love,

    Dad, Mom and Aaron
