It’s already Wednesday! I can’t believe this week has gone by this quickly.

Today we began at the offices of AIDS Alabama. Amanda was the wonderful woman who showed us around. She educated the group about HIV/AIDS, and then took us to the site that we were to be working on.

We spent the day cleaning a house (inside and out) that a family would soon be occupying. (She was worried that we wouldn’t finish before the day ended, but we actually finished ahead of schedule. BOOM!)

People working in the front yard.

Jessica and Nicole K working on the windows.

Heather Wade was the first person to volunteer to clean the bathroom, and she had no arguments from anyone else.

Because of her hard work, the bathroom was cleaned first. GO HEATHER!

At the end of the day, everyone was feeling sweaty and accomplished.

Because we got done with work early we decided to get dolled up and go to a nice dinner.

After dinner we took a pleasant walk, and came back to the hotel to reflect.

All in all, it was a great day/night.

Hi Nicole S. Looks like you are having a great time and helping as well. You and your fellow students will now and forever have your footprints planted in the culture you are aiding. It is this cooperative strength which makes we humans…civil and understanding of things which are not of the self but rather a collective view of the community soul. Kudos to you and your team.. Aunt Teresa
